Check out these free educational resources available to the students for help with various subjects.  These are AMS Teacher recommended!


Khan Academy --This website has an extensive library of topics, along with interactive challenges, assessments, and videos.  Math and science are the main focus, with math covering everything from basic addition to calculus.  In addition, there are some humanities topics, like history, in their extensive library. 


Purdue OWL --This website offers multiple resources related to writing.  The general writing resources include assistance with the writing process, proper grammar usage, punctuation, and more!  There are even research resources for help with that process.   


PISD Library Catalog --This PISD website has an amazing collection of resources for research.  The various resources are grouped together by categories, including biographies, encyclopedias, and newspaper and magazine articles.  Great for last minute research!  This site is recommended by AMS Librarian, Ms. Renee Jones. 


Sum Dog --This website offers free math resources, allowing students to play math games, and gears the questions to the student.  Subscriptions to the website gives a student access to premium games as well as reading resources.  


Spelling City -- This website offers a variety of activities and tests to improve a student's spelling and vocabulary.  Students have access to flash cards, spelling tests, vocabulary tests, and more.  They can even enter their own class spelling list for activities involving these words!  A subscription to the site offers students more personalized learning, including tracking progress and individualized assignments.
